Sample data, and how to clear it
New accounts come pre-loaded with sample clients, menus, and events so you can explore. Clear it all in one step when you are ready to use Catertoo for real.

Why your account starts with sample data
When you sign up for Catertoo, your account is pre-loaded with sample data so you can click around and see what the product does. You will find sample clients, a sample menu, sample venues, and a few sample events on your calendar. None of it is real, and none of it is shared with anyone else.
A pinned banner at the top of every page reminds you that you are in demo mode so you never confuse the sample data with your real business.
Clearing the sample data and setting up your business
When you are ready to use Catertoo for your real business, click Set up your business in the banner. We will ask for four pieces of information:
- Business name
- Contact email
- Contact phone
- Country
Once you submit, we permanently delete the sample data and your account becomes a fresh, empty workspace ready for your real clients, menus, venues, and events. The banner disappears.
This cannot be undone
The wipe is permanent. Once you clear the sample data, it is gone for good and we cannot bring it back. If there is anything from the demo you want to remember (a layout, a phrasing, a structure), take a screenshot first.
Your account, your email, and your sign-in credentials are not affected. Only the sample business data is removed.
